A few notes about our Religious Education Program:

- It is available from age 5 to Confirmation.
- All Children of the parish should be enrolled if they do not attend a Catholic School (where the education is part of the curriculum.)
- We follow the Diocese of Bridgeport's requirements for Religious Education.
- We include the preparation for Sacraments as part of the program.
- Participation is important. You should attend mass with your child and your child MUST be enrolled for a minimum of two years to
   receive any sacrament.
- We invite parents to participate at home and as Cathechists (training available)
- Our classes meet on Sundays at the 10:15 AM.
- Sports and other extracurricular activities are not valid excuses for missing class. Please feel free to discuss this with us.
- If you cannot make this schedule, please call us to arrange Home Study.
- All Catechists and participants over the age of 18 must take the Virtus Protecting God's Children program - no exceptions!

  • The Children of our parish are one of our most valuable assets and just as we have been instructed and know the faith, so too should they. Our Religious Education is one of the most important resources we have. Religious education is an important commitment that we make to our children, our community, and ourselves. It is often the reason that people seek out and join religious communities. We welcome your family's participation! There is a minimal cost to cover the textbooks and resources.
  • Blessed Sacrament's Religious Education program has adopted the philosophy of providing a foundation for the lifelong endeavor of identifying that which is valuable and meaningful. The Religious Education program creates opportunities for children and youth to and practice Catholic principles and traditions. Put information about your religious education classes here.

 High School Youth Ministry

Our Young Apostles  group is an advisory board that meets to develop and plan activities for all of our youth. They are always seeking new members and invite the youth of the parish to assist in planning all activities. We know that it is imperative to include the youth in all aspects of the parish and hope you will join us in our efforts.
